How to Change Type of Instagram Account?

A. Switch your Personal account to a Creator account:

1. Go to your profile page on Instagram and Click the three lines in the top right corner and Select the Settings Icon
2. Select Account, and scroll to the bottom of the options.
3. Choose Switch to a professional account and click Continue to go through the onboarding steps.
4. You can choose a category that best describes what you do from the options provided and then click Done.
5. Select account type as Creator and then click Next.
6. You have successfully converted your Instagram account to Creator type.

B. Switch your Personal account to a Business account:

1. Go to your profile page on Instagram and Click the three lines in the top right corner and Select the Settings Icon
2. Select Account, and scroll to the bottom of the options.
3. Choose Switch to a professional account and click Continue to go through the onboarding steps.
4. You can choose a category that best describes what you do from the options provided and then click Done.
5. Select a category for your Business and tap Next.
6. Review your contact info and click Next.
7. To successfully connect with Instagram, you need to link your account with a Facebook Page. Click on Log in with Facebook on the ‘Connect to Facebook’ screen.
8. Next, continue with the relevant Facebook account.
9. If the Instagram account and Facebook account combination is as desired, click Continue.
10. Next, click on Yes, Finish Setup.
11. Choose the relevant Facebook Page among the list shown else, click on Create a new Facebook Page and follow the steps to create a page.
12. Select the relevant Facebook Page and click Next.
13. You have successfully converted your Instagram account to Business type, and linked with a Facebook Page.
