How To Set Up Email Configuration in White-Labeling?

While setting up white-labeling, you can use the email configuration option to replace impulze.ai domain emails with your domain’s emails. Once you set this up, it’ll show your domain instead of the impulze.ai domain in all emails sent to users.

To set this up, you need a verified domain and an API key created through Resend.

Follow these four steps to get the sender email and API Key you can enter in the white-labeling section of the app above:

1. First, create an account on Resend.

2. Verify the domain on your Resend account.

Verifying a domain is a required step to ensure your emails get delivered. In order to verify a domain, you must set the DNS entries that permit us to send emails on your behalf.

Once logged in to your Resend account, click  'Domains' on the sidebar.

Click 'Add Domains' here.

Now, enter your domain here and choose the region.

Now, access the DNS settings page of your DNS provider and add all the following DNS records to the records section. Once all are added, Click the ‘Verify Records’ button above.

Understanding the domain status Resend shows

Resend.com can show different domain statuses. Here’s what they mean:

Pending: Resend is still trying to verify the domain.

Verified: Your domain is successfully verified for sending in Resend.

Failure: Resend was unable to detect the DNS records within 72 hours.

Temporary Failure: Resend will periodically check for the DNS record required for verification for a previously verified domain. If, at some point, Resend is unable to detect the record, the status will change to ‘Temporary Failure.’ Resend will recheck for the DNS record for 72 hours, and if it’s unable to detect the record, the domain status will change to ‘Failure.’ If it can detect the record, the domain status will change to ‘Verified.’

To use this domain for impulze.ai, Resend.com should show your status as ‘Verified.’

3. Create an API Key

Next, create an API Key from the same place (your Resend account). Follow these steps: Once logged in, click 'API Keys' on the sidebar. Then, click ‘Add API Key.’

Click ‘Create API Key’ here.

Now, give your API Key a name.

For Permissions here, you can choose any permission depending on your need. For impulze.ai, ‘sending access’ is enough.

For the Domains drop-down, select your Domain (by default, it is ‘All Domains’).

That's all! You have created your API key. Please remember that you can only see this key once, so copy and save the key securely.

Once your domain is verified and you have this API key through a resend account, you can enter your sender email and API key in the white-label settings section of the app. Once you click ‘Activate White Labeled Access’ here, your impulze.ai account will appear with your logo and preferred colors, plus you can send emails through your domain.
