How to Verify your Domain and Create an API Key in Resend ?
Step 1 - How to verify your domain.
A domain is used to send emails using your own domain. Verifying a domain is a required step because it’s essential to ensuring the deliverability of your emails.
In order to verify a domain, you must set the DNS entries that grant us permission to send email on your behalf.
- Navigate to 'Domains' on the sidebar.
- Click 'Add Domains'.
- Now Enter your Domain and Select the Region.
- Now Access the DNS settings page of your DNS provider and add all the following DNS records to the records section. Once all are added, Click the ‘Verify Records’ button above.
Understand a domain status
Domains can have different statuses, including:
Pending: Resend is still trying to verify the domain.
Verified: Your domain is successfully verified for sending in Resend.
Failure: Resend was unable to detect the DNS records within 72 hours.
Temporary Failure: For a previously verified domain, Resend will periodically check for the DNS record required for verification. If at some point, Resend is unable to detect the record, the status would change to “Temporary Failure”. Resend will recheck for the DNS record for 72 hours, and if it’s unable to detect the record, the domain status would change to “Failure”. If it’s able to detect the record, the domain status would change to “Verified”.
Step 2 - How to Create an API Key using Resend
To create an API key using www.Resend.com, Follow these steps:
1. Create an account on Resend.
To create a resend account click here.
- Once you have created an account, Navigate to 'API Keys' on the sidebar.
- Click Create API Key.
Now Give your API Key a name.
For Permissions, Users can choose any permission depending on their need , for our app ‘sending access’ is enough.
For Domains, Select your Domain (by default its ‘All Domains’).
That's all, You have created your API key. Please remember that you can only see this key once, so copy and save the key securely.
Once you have your API key and Your Domain is verified in resend, Proceed to Set up white labeling in Impulze.ai.
